Mission

We believe that each child is a special gift from God.

At Immanuel, each child is encouraged to develop socially, emotionally,

physically, cognitively, and spiritually, and is accepted and affirmed

for his or her current level of competence.

Our integrated curriculum and experiential activities provide challenges that lead to continued growth, enabling each child to reach his or her unique potential.

Faith-based environment and curriculum

Christ is present in every part of Immanuel. Our teachers share Christian love and caring discipline and our faith is interwoven throughout our curriculum.

Beneficial student to teacher ratios

Our class sizes are age-appropriate and advantageous to students and teachers; promoting multiple opportunities for one on one interaction and development of strong bonds that enhance learning.

State certified, nationally accredited, preschool through eighth grade

Immanuel has been nationally accredited since 2001 through National Lutheran School Accreditation. Our school was one of three U.S. schools to achieve Exemplary Status through NLSA in 2009. We have held Illinois State Board of Education Recognition since 2002. State Recognition as a Non-Public School is the highest level of certification the State of Illinois bestows on parochial schools.

Academic performance ranks high among area schools and exceeds national norms

While standardized testing is a snapshot of how a student performed on that day on that test, Immanuel's test scores have consistently shown reading, language arts, and mathematics skills well above grade levels. Complete information is available here.
