At Immanuel, we provide a safe, faith-based environment for your child spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We provide comprehensive preparation for middle school, high school, and beyond.
Immanuel's Christian faculty, weekly chapel services, and daily religion classes explore biblical themes as related to these studies, but also weave our faith throughout the rest of the curriculum.
Our reading curriculum is designed to meet each student’s unique needs by providing the very specific instruction each reader needs to move forward on their path to confident literacy. Once the instructional levels of the students are determined, small groups of similar readers are formed.
The language arts program includes Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, Viewing, and Visual Representation; all of which are highly related to one another. At Immanuel, our language arts curriculum also includes handwriting and cursive, which has been abandoned in many other school settings.
The Big Ideas math curriculum used exceeds State of Illinois requirements and understands that students do not learn as effectively in a one-size-fits-all situation. Immanuel offers an accelerated math path starting in Grade 5.
In addition to weekly art and music/choir classes in K-8, band [Grades 4-8] and orchestra [Grades K-8] are also available options, which include individual lessons and group participation. Piano lessons are available for students in K-8.
